Heritage jogging: between nature and Art Deco
This 7-8 km running trail offers a chance to discover Brussels’ Art Deco heritage, alternating between natural areas and remarkable buildings. It is a great way to explore 1930s architecture, while enjoying a running-friendly setting away from traffic.
The run departs from Tenreuken Park, a wooded area offering a pleasant warm-up. The route then follows Avenue de Tervuren, home to the Palais Stoclet, an architectural masterpiece listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It continues towards the Villa Empain, an emblematic example of Art Deco now transformed into a cultural centre.
The second part of the journey leads to the Van Buuren Museum, a private residence with an exceptional Art Deco interior and remarkable gardens. Lastly, the route ends at La Woluwe Park, a vast green space that allows you to enjoy the end of the route in a natural setting.
This trail offers a dynamic approach to Brussels’ heritage, combining architectural discovery with immersion in the urban and wooded landscapes.
In collaboration with Le Tamanoir.
