ART DECO, années folles, années krach
Pour cette 37e édition, Urban propose, dans le cadre de l’Année Art Deco 2025, un regard renouvelé sur ce courant artistique. Au-delà de son esthétique et de son luxe emblématique, nous explorerons les dimensions urbanistiques, architecturales, sociologiques et humaines de ce mouvement.
Placée sous le thème ART DECO, années folles, années krach, cette édition mettra en lumière un large éventail de patrimoines : bâtiments, façades, intérieurs, mais aussi mobilier, collections, patrimoine immatériel et espaces publics.
Nous vous invitons chaleureusement à découvrir ce patrimoine aux multiples facettes – bâti, mobilier, immatériel ou vivant – à travers une offre riche de visites guidées et activités culturelles. Par ailleurs, plusieurs sites patrimoniaux emblématiques de la capitale seront à nouveau mis en lumière.
Le résumé du programme est repris dans un dépliant, qui sera disponible à partir de fin août dans de nombreux lieux (urban.brussels, Halles Saint-Géry, communes, offices de tourisme, bibliothèques et lieux participants).
Le programme complet sera disponible sur ce site la première semaine de septembre de même que l’ouverture des réservations.

Voor deze 37e editie werpt Urban, in het kader van het Art Deco Jaar 2025, een nieuwe blik op deze artistieke beweging. We verdiepen ons niet alleen in de bekende esthetiek en luxe, maar vooral in de stedenbouwkundige, architecturale, sociologische en menselijke dimensies van art deco.
Onder het thema ART DECO, dolle jaren, crisisjaren, zet het evenement een breed spectrum aan erfgoed in de kijker: van gebouwen, gevels en interieurs tot meubels, collecties, immaterieel erfgoed en publieke ruimte.
We nodigen u van harte uit om dit veelzijdige erfgoed – gebouwd, roerend, immaterieel of levend – te ontdekken via een rijk aanbod aan rondleidingen en culturele activiteiten. Daarnaast zetten we ook enkele iconische erfgoedlocaties van de hoofdstad opnieuw in de schijnwerpers.
Vanaf eind augustus is de samenvatting van het programma als folder beschikbaar op tal van locaties (urban.brussels, Sint-Gorikshallen, plaatselijke besturen, toerismediensten, bibliotheken en deelnemende locaties).
Het volledige programma zal in de eerste week van september beschikbaar zijn op deze website, net als de openingsdatum voor boekingen.
ART DECO, Roaring Twenties, Crash Years
For this 37th edition, Urban will show this artistic movement from a new perspective, as part of the 2025 Art Deco Year. We will not only delve into the movement’s well-known aesthetics and luxury, but also explore its urban, architectural, sociological, and human dimensions.
Under the theme ART DECO – Roaring Twenties, Crash Years, the event will highlight a wide spectrum of heritage: from buildings, façades, and interiors to furniture, collections, intangible heritage, and public spaces.
We warmly invite you to discover this rich and diverse heritage – whether built, movable, intangible or living – through an extensive range of guided tours and cultural activities. We will also once again highlight several iconic heritage sites across the capital.
As from the end of August a leaflet with the summary of the programme will be available in numerous locations (urban.brussels, Halles saint-Géry, local authorities, tourist services, libraries and participating venues).
The full programme will be available on this website in the first week of September, coinciding with the opening of bookings.
